Welcome to the Work Shop
I would like to welcome all students, and parents, to the Vocational Work Shop!
Students in the Work Shop work on hands on prevocational and job skills. The Work Shop students participate in Service Learning Projects and provide services for several business partners in the local community. Students package dental bags, gift bags, and label folders for local dentist offices: Dr. Nease, Dr. Higgenbothem and Dr. Dunbar. Students also package informational packets for Spring Fling each year. Additionally, Students participate in two ongoing Service Learning Projects: Blessing in a Back Pack and making plarn. Blessing in a Back Pack provides additional food for students on the weekends. The plarn students create is made into sleeping mats for the homeless by Crafters for Christ. The homeless mats are distributed locally and internationally. In January 2014 products made from our plarn will be taken on a mission trip to India! This is just a few of the exciting jobs students are working on in the Work Shop.
